Youth engage in efforts to increase community knowledge about how various policies impact public health so that voters can make informed decisions.
Our audience for these efforts are the general voting public.
Policy changes can have positive or negative impacts on public health. When public health is negatively impacted, everyone is affected not only by the pain and loss experienced in communities but also by potential increases in crime, increases in the need for public services and treatment, loss of productivity, impacts to children, increased burden on the justice system, and more.
